BRING YOUR CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN AND EXTENDED FAMILY TOGETHER TO SEE THE WORLD AND ENJOY EACH OTHER.

Taking a long distance trip with kids or teens is easy when you join us for a Multisport Family Journey. Thinking about our own family vacations, we created these trips to match the energy levels and attention spans of younger travelers. Our smart and intuitive local guides understand the interests of kids, teens and adults.

Family Jumping

Together, you’ll do cool stuff like dune surfing, mountain biking on medieval walls, riding ziplines and getting your hands dirty in crafts sessions with local artisans. Suddenly, ancient ruins are for climbing. Alpine cog railway trips turn into joy rides. Bocce ball becomes a blast. Onplenty of occasions, kids and teens go their carefully chaperoned way, and you’ll have generous time for adult-focused activities like wine-tastings, longer walks and gourmet dinners.

For everybody’s comfort and sanity, you’ll settle in at luxury inns and hotels chosen for their family-friendliness. Your picky eaters will be fine, too. We find the local specialties they love — pizza, fondue, picnic fare — as well as chances to try new tastes. Several of our itineraries can accommodate younger children, so give us a call. Often we can arrange supervision for the littlest ones so that older siblings and adults can maximize their fun. On a Multisport Family Journey, you’ll never have to sacrifice your pleasure to keep the younger generation happy. And you’ll make memories you’ll talk about for years.

Kid-to-kid Q&A

Kids and teens with one or more Multisport Family Journeys under their belts take on the questions your kids are likely to ask.

WILL I BE STUCK WITH ADULTS ALL DAY?

No. We had days in Costa Rica when we were off with our own guide, Gisselle, for three hours. We did a nighttime safari. I was glad I got to do it — my grandmother was just as happy that she didn’t.

IS THIS AN “EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE?”

Well, I learned a lot, but it’s nothing like school. Alfredo, our naturalist in the Galápagos, showed us how iguanas spit salt. You absolutely find out things you didn’t know before.

WILL THEY FEED ME SNAILS AND GOAT BRAINS?

No, but you don’t get the “kiddie menu” either. I ate green-lipped mussels in New Zealand. Sounded weird but tasted great. I also ate about three gallons of gelato in Italy.

I’M MISSING A WEEK OF SOCCER PRACTICE FOR THIS VACATION.

Don’t worry. You won’t be sitting around. There are plenty of activities, like mountain biking, river rafting and zip lining. Even selfie moments like riding camels.

WILL I LIKE THE OTHER KIDS ON TOUR?

Well, nobody will force you to make new friends. But it was good to have these experiences with other people my age.
