The terrain on this trip includes a mix of well-maintained countryside and coastal trails of compressed dirt and stone. The footpaths, through rainforest and cattle ranches, onto ancient pyramids, as well as on offshore islands, offer a selection of level and rolling terrain; with some limited elevation gain and loss.

Yes! You’ll snorkel the Belize Barrier Reef at Hol Chan Marine Reserve, gliding past sea turtles, eagle rays, and gentle nurse sharks. It’s perfect for first-time snorkelers and families—shallow waters, easy access, and guides who make every swim safe and memorable. And expet local guides will be with you every step – and splash – of the way.
You’ll walk 2 to 8 miles a day on jungle trails, countryside footpaths, and sandy shores—with plenty of time for food, relaxation, and adventure. Horseback rides and walks to Xunantunich are optional and tailored for all comfort levels. Terrain is mostly gentle with some rolling hills and your expert local guides will keep every day enjoyable for walkers of any pace.
The best time for Belize adventures is the dry season—December through April—when sunny days are perfect for clear-water snorkeling and exploring Mayan ruins with fewer crowds. The green season (May to November) is lush and vibrant, ideal for jungle walks, but brings occasional afternoon showers.
