How does the Cancel For Any Reason work?
It’s simple. Choose the tour you want from our selection of published departure dates in 2020 through 2022. Make your new reservation on a published departure between 8:00 am EST January 15, 2021 to 8:00 pm EST February 28, 2021, for travel between January 16, 2021 and December 31, 2022. Reference 2011CFAR when making a reservation with a deposit of $500 per person. You may cancel for any reason until 91 days prior to departure of your reserved tour and receive a refund of $300 per person plus a future trip credit of $200 per person to use on any Classic Journeys tour. If you cancel for any reason between 90-61 days prior to departure of your reserved tour, you keep 100% of your $500 per person deposit as a future tour credit to use on any Classic Journeys tour. Your future tour credits never expire.
What happens if I cancel between 60 and 0 days prior to departure of my reserved tour? You’ll still find that we want to treat you the way we’d like to be treated. So our standard Terms and Conditions apply and are among the most guest-friendly of any company.
How do Classic Journeys normal Terms and Conditions compare to your competitors? That’s a great question. We regularly benchmark them against a basket of our most acclaimed competitors to ensure that you are receiving the most value, even in payment schedules and booking terms. The industry average for our basket of competitors is a deposit of around $700 per person, an industry average balance due at 91 days prior to departure, an industry average cancellation fee of $250 per person if you cancel until 92 days prior to departure, and an industry average cancellation fee of 35% of total trip cost if you cancel between 92 and 61 days prior to departure. Compare that to our standard Terms and Conditions and you’ll see another way that Classic Journeys provides you added value and flexibility in your travels.
What if I need to transfer from one published departure date to another? You can transfer from one published tour date to another until 75 days before your departure without any penalty.
What if I’m thinking about a new reservation? Go where, how, and with whomever you want. What if I have specific travel dates? Choose from hundreds of available dates. Don’t see a published departure when you want to travel? Give us a call to talk with us about adding an additional public departure during your preferred dates.
What if I want to travel with just my family or a group of friends? Of course! Opt for a Private Journey and travel with your own group on any day of the year. You can check off your own bucket list destination and even your own wish list of bucket list experiences by customizing any of our itineraries, a little or a lot.
What if my trip is postponed? If your trip is postponed, 100% of the funds you’ve paid will be available for your rescheduled tour. Or, you can choose to move to a new tour or departure date, or to have them credited to your account as a future tour credit for future travel with Classic Journeys, without expiry.
