Thailand Adventure Travel Back on Track as Government Lifts Emergency Rule
Our local guide in Bangkok just reported in yesterday to advise us that the Thai government has lifted the emergency rule in Bangkok and surrounding provinces, effective immediately. This means that army checkpoints will disappear for the most part, and the Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation (CRES) will no longer be required. The impact on guests looking forward to resuming their Thailand adventure travel plans should be that they see a resumption of normalcy countrywide.
In addition to hearing this from our colleagues in Thailand, we’ve seen the news reported by media globally, including the BBC, Time/CNN and other outlets. Our guide Lewis commented, “I hope this gives guests on our Thailand adventure travel programs added reassurance that Thailand is a safe and friendly country to visit. We all know how welcoming and gracious Thai people are, and it is time for this true image to be restored in the minds of prospective travelers.”
