People are planning travel. Should you?

You may have noticed a shift recently with more people starting to plan their long-awaited vacations. We’ve seen it too, as guests are planning trips with us for 2021, 2022, and even some for late 2020. 
It raises the questions: Why? How? And should you be doing the same?

Here’s why you might want to start the planning process with us. 

Save your place. Having lost a lot to lockdowns this year, many of us want to make up for it with future trips. The media is calling it “revenge travel”. On top of that weddings, reunions, and just about everything else has been postponed to 2021. With it, hotels and venues are already getting booked.
Flexibility. Planning now allows you to choose the dates that work best for you. 
Happiness! A recent poll by the Institute for Applied Positive Research shows that 97% of people are happier when they have a trip planned.

Now for the how. It’s always been easy to plan a trip with us. Now it’s even easier and with even more flexibility.

Let’s just hold space. It’s just $300 per person to hold your space on any new reservation of our published departures in 2020, 2021 or 2022.
It’s OK to change your mind. If things don’t go the way you want this fall, you can move your deposit to another tour or date with 100% credit, or even cancel the reservation and receive a full refund of the deposit.*
Safe travels. We’re as devoted as ever to handcrafting a trip of a lifetime for you. That’s included getting away from the madding crowds before social distancing was a thing. On top of that, we consult with our own infectious disease experts, follow the #SafeTravels protocol of the World Travel & Tourism Council, and helped to write the health and safety guidelines for the Adventure Travel Trade Association.
Private for the same price as published. Your dates + your people? Prefer a trip just for yourself, your family or your friends? Our Travel Experience team can take your wish list and sketch out a private trip for any date you want. For groups of 6 or more, it’s the same cost as a published tour.** 
Going solo? Terrific, you’re not alone! More than a third of our guests do too, and our micro groups (an average of just 8-10 guests per departure) means that you get all of the safety protocols, as well as the social benefits, of a group trip.

**“Private for the same price as published” means that in most cases, the price for a private tour for a group of six or more guests will be the same as the price for the published tour taking place on that date or on a similar date.
