Activities surround the open both off-site and on-site. Just in front of the property, Monkey Island is one of several islets in the lake and home to a colony of habituated spider monkeys. Private boats from the hotel can take guests to view the monkeys, but don't be startled if a monkey or two jumps on board in search of some treats. The hotel offers moonlit boat rides for an evening of wine and cheese excursions around the island. Surrounding the hotel there are also plenty of mountain biking trails, four-wheeling trails, hiking, and more.
