One of this tour’s fine hotels
Our goal is always to find the most interesting and memorable lodging a region offers. Here's one of our favorites from this itinerary. For a complete list, please call or email us.

Sofitel Metropole Hanoi
Located in the heart of Hanoi, this French Colonial style hotel has been hosting heads of state since 1901 and was restored to its original grandeur in 1992. The hotel is centrally located, yet quiet and relaxing. Stroll through the tropical gardens or take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool.

What the weather is like

The climate of Vietnam varies considerably from North to South. North Vietnam has four distinct seasons. Summer is from May to August, with very warm weather and occasional heavy rains.  Fall, from September to November, is drier, but you should still expect some rain.  Winter is from late November to January and it is dry and cold. Spring is from February to April. It is warmer and often overcast and damp.

South Vietnam is hot and humid. The wet season is from May to November. During the wet season there are brief downpours that provide relief from the heat. The dry season is from December to April. Temperatures in the south vary little from month to month.

Cambodia’s temperatures vary little year round.
