You couldn't dream this up if you tried. Red sandstone arches that are perfect bridges to
nowhere. Soaring pinnacles topped with stone. Thousand-year-old "apartment houses" built into precarious clefts of rock. The fantastic natural and human landmarks of Utah and Colorado are all explainable of course, and we'll see to it that you have local friends and experts to supply the answers.  But the true wonder of these places is that they still exist at all—and that it's so easy to penetrate their mysteries when you travel with Classic Journeys. Our sojourn includes several national parks and monuments…the awesome cliff dwellings of the Anasazi and other early natives…as well as some of our favorite canyon trails and mountaintop vistas. On the more civilized side, there's time for shopping and gallery-hopping in Durango and demonstrations of pottery-making and weaving too. This is America at its grandest, most timeless best!
