Arthur's Pass Wilderness Lodge
Arthur’s Pass Wilderness Lodge is located on a 6,000 acre working high country ranch that supports 4,500 merino sheep and 150 Angus beef cattle. As guests, we have the opportunity to join the owners as they take their Border Collies on rounds. Rooms are surrounded by mountain beech and tea trees and enjoy exceptional views of the towering Southern Alps.

New Zealand’s seasons are the reverse of the Northern Hemisphere. The South Island has a temperate climate and is generally very comfortable. In the summer (our winter) during our trips, the region does not have very significant temperature extremes. However it can be cool in the morning as well as the evening.
