The climate varies significantly between the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. The Grand Canyon is at an elevation of 6500-7500 feet, which keeps the temperatures moderate throughout the summer months. Zion is at an altitude of 4000 feet and is generally much warmer during the summer months. In Zion, we have planned our walks for the morning and late afternoon to avoid the midday heat.
