Why do we have such a thing for the Adriatic? The mellow climate, for one. Strolling seaside in Montenegro under a rustle of palm fronds is some kind of heaven. We’re suckers for sunny Croatian and Apulian villages too, all red tile and golden stone. It’s as if Adriatic breezes make time stand still. These regions are all authentic, cordial and unexpected.
