  • Bordeaux & Dordogne—Walking Tour

One of this tour’s fine hotels
Our goal is always to find the most interesting and memorable lodging a region offers. Here's one of our favorites from this itinerary. For a complete list, please call or email us.

Manoir d'Hautegente
Formerly a 13th century forge, this country manor is located in a beautiful setting on the banks of a trout stream. The Hamelin family has lived here for over 300 years, and in the evenings, Madame Hamelin can be found in the dining room discussing the different menu choices prepared by Chef Dominique. Family antiques decorate the salons, halls, and bedrooms. With high ceilings, fabric-covered walls and coordinating drapes and bedspreads, the 15 guest rooms vary in size, but all enjoy river views.
